The close of 1-UP and welcome Turbo Battle Arena 🔹1-UP is officially dissolved and that project has been shut down as of today. 🔹A new project called Turbo Battle Arena (TBA) has acquired the rights to the game engine and IP behind 1-UP and formed a partnership with the game studio to continue to build out the premiere Web3 eSports ready tournament platform. 🔹This new project comes with a signed marketing, community management, and operations contract with Blocksafe Solutions. We have a lead fundraising partner with a large network signed and committed to getting the next project going. Some initial funds have already been committed to Turbo Battle Arena (TBA) prior to this public announcement. 🔹All 1-UP holders will be guaranteed a minimum of 1:1 $USD from the time of the $1-UP snapshot to the time of the launch of the $TBA token. Unfortunately, as part of securing this fundraising partner, they were not willing to move forward until 1-UP had paid off some outstanding debts from earlier project development. Those funds had to come from the 1-UP LP and there will not be an Eth claim from the LP pool for prior holders at this time. On top of getting 1:1 tokens back in the new project, the Turbo Battle Arena (TBA) team will continue to look for opportunities to reward the original 1-UP community and we already have some things we’re working on. We understand this is a large deviation from our announcement last month and it absolutely kills us to go back on the prior announcement, but this was our only path forward to bring in fundraising partners with demonstrated success in the Web3 sector. This move allows us to give TBA the game–and token–a huge jump start toward a successful launch. At the time we made the prior announcement for a claim, we had received a verbal commitment for funding that subsequently fell through.
